Biography

PhD in Biochemical Sciences (UNLP, 1974). Senior Researcher at CONICET. Full Professor and coordinator of the Area of ??Biochemistry and Food Control in the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the UNLP. Coordinator of Food Processing in Socio-Economic Productive Nuclei and of the National Committee of the Argentine-Chinese Binational Center for Food Science and Technology (MINCyT) since 2012. Director of the Center for Research and Development in Food Criotechnology from 1985 to 2003. Director of 47 doctoral theses. He published 244 papers in international journals. Member of the National Academy of Pharmacy and Biochemistry. Distinguished with the Dr. Armando Parodi awards (1976); Pedro Cattaneo (ANCEFN, 2001); Bernardo Houssay (2004); Honorary plaque in recognition of the contribution to the development of Food Engineering in Latin America by CIVIA V (Mexico, 2005); Prize for Scientific, Technological and Artistic Work by the FCE-UNLP. (2010). In addition to 12 awards for scientific work.
